Reviews
Who knew a bowling alley could have such great food?
We were skeptical when we were told how good the food is at Barn Bowl & Bistro, but having been there about a dozen times now, we're convinced. They serve up great dishes with consistency and at a reasonable price for the Island.
Most recently I had their Brazilian churrasco bbq...where they come to your table with skewers of meat and slice off what you want. At $34.99, it's an awesome deal for some delicious meats. It comes with three sides: rice, a salsa of sorts, and a third dish which I didn't catch the name of but was quite tasty. Currently, they're talking about offering it on Saturdays - maybe Fridays - so call first. And go support them so they continue to serve it up!
Other suggestions...the shrimp and sausage pasta is great as are the pizzas. I haven't had the curry but friends have and thoroughly enjoyed it. Personally, I've had the scallops, Bang Bang Cauliflower, SW Chicken Egg Rolls, and the Fried Fishermans Platter - which can serve two. All are good. A lot of folks tout the fried chicken but the night my husband had it, it wasn't well seasoned. And rumor has it there might be better fish and chips elsewhere.
The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff is awesome and they mix great drinks. All in all, it's an establishment we'll continue to enjoy and support.
Oh, and the bowling is great too!
Absolutely floored by the delicious clam chowder. We were more than presently surprised by the clam overload in this. Would definitely return and soon.
Our group enjoyed bowling as well as other food options. Very fun atmosphere.
Very good food. We saw a person next to us pizza looked so good and ordered one. Didn’t regret it at all. Very good!
Was on the Vineyard with our teenage daughter for a few days in April. Found this place online. Reserved a lane online but showed up early to eat and they gave us a lane earlier. We were served really quickly and I loved the fact that we could eat and bowl at the same time. We ordered a pizza and a few apps and they were all fantastic. Place is very well kept, great service and food. Great family night out and would highly recommend!
This restaurant is located inside a bowling alley. Great atmosphere, eating while watching the games. The food was not great. The fried chicken was too salty. It came with good fries and tasty slaw. The chicken breasts in the chicken carbonara was tastless, the pasta and sauce were ok.
We had the most amazing dinner at the barn, chef Douglas did not disappoint, food was made with love, drink were hitting and the service was everything. Thanks Maria, Thanks to my friend for introducing me to this restaurant. Will definitely be back.
Reserve your bowling lane online in advance! So happy my friends and I did this because the lanes were booked all night.
We got lucky with getting seated at our table with little wait. The cab sauv was delicious.
Ordered the clam chowder, gluten free chicken bacon ranch pizza, and a Caesar salad. It was all better than you’d expect from a bowling alley.
Got to our bowling alley just in time and had an exceptional time. Was absolutely one of our highlights of our Martha’s Vineyard trip!
The lunch special was a barbecue brisket sandwich and fries. It came with an egg and slaw on it. I asked for the slaw on the side. Slaw was delicious as was the brisket tender and the egg cooked a soft solid. I loved the fries, but they were basically cold.
It was 2pm, so it wasn't during a rush. The seat had mayo on it, and my water glass was never refilled. The staff was friendly and checked on us, but it was less proactive and more after thought.
The space in general is bright and modern. It's attractive. The bowling alley section looked very nice and updated. I feel it's probably a better experience in general and we did enjoy the food
